A senior police officer told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred when the tanker was travelling through the area and apparently lost control, skidding off the road and overturning. He said the two persons travelling in the tanker were killed on the spot, while their identities had not been ascertained yet. Police and other concerned teams reached the spot and initiated necessary proceedings.
